You could use a mac mini or similar fanless pc to output optical via Mini-Toslink cable or coax to the NDX to benefit from the naims excellent DAC. Having just made the switch myself form Naim to Roon, roon is 100 time slicker than the naim app, and I have found myself listening more for longer as it tends to lead you to different artists and songs. The tidal integration is fantastic, better than the naim offering. Output to a DAC with USB for asynchronous operation is more ideal theoretically, however as the ndx is 24bit/192kHz only and 1 x DSD it is unlikely to make a noticeable difference.

Version 1.2 out this week and finally an App for iPhone which makes things much more accessible for me through a Touch Squeezebox.
See there is a Linux version as well so it will be interesting to see how this rolls out.
