So evocative of the movie.Lucky Zorg, for a while.
Do you remember the time it ran for a whole year in the Adelphi cinema :-) Needless I have two vinyl copies with different sleeves...It actually came to Dundalk once where the cinema at the back of the old shopping center (long since closed down)mick wrote:Nice one cybot.
Brilliant soundtrack and a brilliant film.
Would that be the old Casino cinema, Dermot? Although I live and work in the big smoke, I am originally a Dundalk native and my heart will always remain there. I do miss the old cinemas like the Magnet and the Adelphi. And one of the greatest gigs I ever attended was John Martyn at a small club in the town in the early Nineties behind Clanbrassil Street (long gone now, alas, like John). He played right into the night and finished at about 2.30 in the morning. Absolutely fantastic.cybot wrote:Do you remember the time it ran for a whole year in the Adelphi cinema :-) Needless I have two vinyl copies with different sleeves...It actually came to Dundalk once where the cinema at the back of the old shopping center (long since closed down)mick wrote:Nice one cybot.

showed it. Of course, my little wife didn't care too much for it :-(
You're a Dundalk native???? Can't believe that!! Yeah, you're right I think it was called the Casino. I was there too at the JM gig and, as you said, it was pure magic :-)) We'll have to get you back to Dundalk sometime....mcq wrote:Would that be the old Casino cinema, Dermot? Is that the one that features 'Mystery Man'? I remember a friend of mine bought that soundtrack on cd on the strength of that one track. I used to always play it when he came round to the house. He hated Jazz too and anything to do with ECM - 'Are they making it up as they go along?' :-))) But the bass on that track used to kill him (and the guitar too!)PeterK wrote:I am playing to death the soundtrack to Heat at the moment. Really quite good.
