Dear Ivor, At no time did I quote you, I simply said it was good to hear your comments. Adrian wrote he knew nothing about Copeland and I have advised him that 288 uses a VRDS transport. As far as Wadia and Esoteric I again wrote about the fact that both machines use VRDS transports not about the actual CD players themselves. I suggested to Adrian to Google for his own information. I know prices and have been involved with hi-fi for over fifty years. Your writing about CD players and I solely wrote about the VRDS transport system. I was not commenting about anything else. With respect I don't expect Adrian to be able to afford either a Wadia or indeed an Esoteric let alone suggest a Copland is comparable to them.
What are you defending your self about ? Indeed why did you write your remarks directed to me ? I am amazed dumbfounded even. Yours truly Sydney.

Lets keep the tone friendly here. FWIW, SydneyK - your posts come across as pretty terse - which I wouldn't say helps your sale prospects.

The Coplands are lovely CDPs and the PCM63 (particularly K and Y grades) is a fantastic chip. Many claim it to be the best ever, and prices for this now almost unobtainable chip are high - at least $50 each, if you can get them. Personally I have a Pass D1 which uses 4 of these and love the sound of it.
Good luck with your sale!
