Seems very odd
I have a Lynx AES16e somewhere I can try. Untested on WS2012.
I suppose getting mqn/lekt to play on something would point to issue with HDSPe card, and failing to get them to play wont prove much. I'll give it a try. Thanks.

use R1 like me
BECAUSE:
my realtek LAN driver causes soared treble in R2. just like it did when 8/R1 was first release. history is repeating.
my DAC driver also has some issues. waiting for new driver.
R2 introduces quite a few useless drivers.
R1 is simpler. R1 is more consistent in SQ during stress.
R2 SQ goes downhill when you have a lot of things.
eventually, R1 should get the same kernel like R2 through windows update, i heard . R1 is without the new useless features of R2.

Thanks JC for the excellent advice. That would save much precious time, of which I have very little to spare.
I have been driven by all the enthusiastic R2 comments here (nige2000?) and sbgk releasing R2 versions of mqn.

what? the kernel without the dross? I'm all ears.
My audio PC is dedicated off-LAN player - only USB stick.
