Price of them always amazing me. €75 bucks. Probably less than a decent cd rack.

Another vote for dbpoweramp [try the free trial]
Suggestions
a) Get album art if possible since you will miss it later if you dont
b) Save to FLAC because it keeps the metadata -- you can always convert back to WAV
c) dbpoweramp has to be setup for accurate rips
d) Check the metadata with dbpoweramp -- it gives various suggestions -- you need to choose

Life lengthening, I would call it, i.e., I'm so bored time stands still.
If you have a mac you can use XLD, it checks accurate rip database, it will report any track considered innacurate, but won't go get a "good" copy as EAC does. it's about 2 or 3 times faster than EAC.
I use EAC, if I can be bothered, when I'm getting bad rip reports from XLD. Can't use EAC on a mac, though.

Zombie thread reanimated. I finally started doing this today (at home with chickenpox-riddled daughter so seemed like the ideal time to do a maddening job). I'm on my 4th CD already, and it's only taken a couple of hours. This'll be a BLAST!!

She'll be recovered, grown up, graduated, married, possibly into middle age before I finish this job!!
(Thank you, though.)

And if you are interested in what price....
Audio Affair in the UK have one on special offer..all for 1499 ninety nine ninety nine ninety nine.... ( sorry I got carried away there)

Interesting, although you'd have to say it seems a little pricy for what it is. Not like all those other hifi components that are not at all pricy. At all.
I can feel myself being sucked in here. I'm on dangerous ground.
