one of which is connected to a nas/Pc/mac...??
You need a bridge (about €40 but sometimes they come free with a play 3 or 5) which is connected to your router. The bridge sends the signal wirelessly to your zones.
Minimal setup is one bridge and one play 3. That will allow you to play anything already on your computer. From there you can extend to any other configuration. The play 3 and 5 are exactly what they are - a one box solution so like all one box solutions they are a compromise (no decent soundstage, limited bass etc).
If you really want decent stereo you need either a pair of Play 3s or the one with the Amp to which you will need to add a pair of speakers. If you already have a stereo setup in a room then just use the zp90 (renamed to something else since I got mine). The play 3 is convenient and sounds ok but even as a pair, it is not real hifi. The other setups are fine. The modular arrangement means you can add bits as you can afford them. The NAS is also connected to the router and allows you to play anything on it without having to have the computer switched on.
Not sure if that makes sense! Sounds more complex than it really is.

Re: sonos
I think the connect is the new name for the zp...
It seems like a very expensive solution?
I use airport and AirPlay... that's only €80 per room/stereo!
and a Zeppelin Air....
where's the Sonos USP? is it superior sonics?
AFAIK the AirPlay streams lossless?

Re: sonos
And tell us, now, does Airplay et al require a Mac running in the background, or can I use a PC?
