I thought of you this morning, Sean, when Tim Thurston played the arrangement of Mahler's Adagietto from Symphony 5.

As you all know, I truly love that show, and 8:00 to 9:30 on a Sunday morning wouldn't be the same without it. I don't always listen to the last half hour...

Yes, his two 'late' Masses, Nos 5 & 6 tend to get more of an outing, rather understandably. His very early Sacred Works are very rarely recorded, and to my knowledge, this is the only complete set of such works, available.

The sound is a *little* on the muddy side at times, but the performances are fine, and there are some VERY high quality solists involved, such as Popp, Fassbaender, Schreier & Fischer-Dieskau, just to name a few.
