Could you mount the TV on the chimney breast and then have the speakers either side of it, your couch on the opposite wall facing it?

Great if it works but very often the angle is too high. Could you really stare at that spot comfortably for more than an hour or two? That is how I have it at the moment. It works fine for surround sound but not for stereo. Now the wife has spoken and we agreed that this is the best setup.
