the test seemed to go well. There were a few 'guinea pigs' that had issues but it seems to be security settings and contention (a wiireless link in a hotel in Brussels isn't ideal). Fran was using his squeezebox too and said it worked well.DaveF wrote:enjoyed the program last night Ivor. Was the streaming test a success? It didnt drop out on me once anyway and I was logged in for most of the show. Any chance you could post up the track list from last night. There were a few that definitely interested me.
Will work on getting listed... I'm sure the geeks had thought of that but in fairness I hadn't.Fran wrote:Yes, worked very well - I had both squeezboxes running and had no dropouts/problems.
There are things you can do like add artwork/logos to the stream for branding purposes. The other thing is that you may need to get your station "listed" - you didn't show up on a search through the squeezebox. Worked perfectly though when I entered the URL.
SQ wasn't too bad - not as good as FM but listenable all the same. I know you were using an MP3 codec. Down the line it may be worth investigating that.
