I've suggested that one to people who wanted to revive their old LP collections. Everyone was very happy with it (cool design too) but they wouldn't have the same unreasonable expectations of hifi geeks.jaybee wrote:I should never muse....

Have a look for decent older 2ndhand stuff too.
Overall though, my standard advice for anyone who doesn't already have a collection of LPs is don't get into it. Invest the money you would have on vinyl into a decent CDP and the rest of your setup. You might not have the ritual etc, but it'll be a hell of a lot cheaper.

in the 2.5 spare minutes I had today I popped a cd in the bd player....
even using the tv as a "pre-amp" it blew the denon pma100-Bose acoustimass I had been listening to the Solti Mozart requiem out of the window...!!
must do a side by side with the cdp..!!!
didn't feel as musical though, the tv definitely has an effect, but it seems a little limited in its delivery....
still... better than I was expecting!!
