One thing's for certain: playing guitar gets you more tail than playing the organ!

oh, I don't think you've been too hard done by Simon.. I saw that piccy on your facebook page with your gorgeously cute baby on your lap..

.. and instantly drew the conclusion that the gorgeousness and cuteness must have derived from your partner... ;-)

"the fastest lute in the west". It contains 995, 1001 and 1006a. Billed as Vol. 1, but five years later, no sign of Vol. 2. I'll buy it if it appears!

looks like an enticing purchase Ciaran, although it is frustrating that the set is incomplete... you wouldn't have thought that three lute suites would have taken 5 years to record..

It will if you always insist on doing it in a church!

Simon: You're a 'friend' of the Tir Na site (see under 'Announcements') ... and no, I don't have a page of my own and no, I haven't been stalking you...

(there are after all, a good number of other people I'd rather be stalking... ;-)) )

I read a recommendation today for the audiophile label MA recordings (http://www.marecordings.com) and I see that the 2 volumes of Bach's Lute Music are some of their biggest sellers. I know nothing else, but I thought I'd include it here. There's a review on the site too.
