I've seen those Koopman Organ works too Sean but I'm wondering whether to get the Helmut Walcha set instead. Any thoughts Simon?

Oh God, no contest between those two, gotta be Koopman all the way.

Some Koopman recordings are absolutely top-drawer, second-to-none. That said, he's sufficiently prolific that he's not *always* great, but he's never bad. He occasionally has a slightly individual style, and his ornamentation can be excessive, but he's genuinely one of the world leaders in this repertoire.

Walcha is from a different era and just not for me. Some would disagree, but for me it's a no-brainer. I stress, my knowledge of Walcha is based only on what I've heard online, but I imagine it's representative.
