Humax Freesat Recorder

Post by Rocker »

Is it possible to copy a recorded TV program made on our Humax Freesat Recorder? It would be great if we could copy it to a USB stick but I have no idea how to do this if such action is possible. The recorder has a hard disk drive on which saved TV programs are stored. The Humax box froze and refused to work earlier this week but, for some unknown reason, it worked last night. It is an old machine and very likely on the way out, hence the need to save this broadcast program. All help and replies are very much appreciated, thanks.
It's OK, if there is no bread I will eat cake.

Is there a USB slot on the box anywhere?

If you search Google for copy data from humax there are lots of videos.

You can copy stuff to a usb stick but not if it's high definition (which is encrypted).

I have copied stuff in the past but can't remember how.
As far as I can remember
Plug in usb stick
Pick menu options with the coloured buttons
[Not at all obvious how to do it]

I think the usb stick should be formatted as FAT32. Not exFAT or NTFS.
