Have messed up asset upnp -- help please

Post by james »

I have been running asset (dbpoweramp) for ages but decided to change some settings and now it does not work ..

Unfortunately I can't remember the old settings ..

I am running on a qnap4 and I have tried to tell asset the location of my files ..
/Multimedia
/share/Multimedia
None of it seems to work

Any suggestions apreciated

I sorted it out by logging into the qnap and searching for a music file I knew existed

find . -name Stravinsky -print

I logged in with ssh but I think putty on windows also works.

When I found the file I had the pathname.

I have actually finally figured out the problem. Apart from forgetting the path name when I figured it out nothing worked. Asset would start to catalogue stuff and then stop and set the number of tracks back to zero (and also set the path name to blank)
I had my music in (originally)
/share/../Multimedia
and I changed it to
/share/../Multimedia/Music
[I have other stuff on the QNAP)
Basically with the new option the filenames (including path) were too long.
Changed to
/share/../Multimedia/M
and all seems OK
