Note that Tir Na HiFi does not take any responsibility for transactions arranged or carried out here. It is up to the seller and buyer to check each other out! Please be sensible folks, and if there is something you think is wrong, let a mod know, OK?

To make it as clear as we can, here are some simple guidelines:

a) like any forum, the success of tirnahifi is entirely dependent on discussion. All members are encouraged to participate in discussion of music, hifi, etc.

Hi John,
Thanks for that - I actually have ir advertised a few places, including PFM. I would be open to a ex / p/ex for a quality integrated amplifier, if that might interest anyone.

Latest hifinews (Aug 2024) has a review of a newly built Gerrard 301 (sme now owns the brand)

May seem expensive at £50,000 ,but they include an arm (no cartridge).

Needless to say it gets a great review.

Maybe I should buy two and have stereo

The new 301 doesn't have lead paint.
If I ever decide to eat one that's an advantage.

Thanks Fran
Obviously I need 4 channel so I better buy 4.

Years ago a friend wanted me to recommend a computer. She eventually picked apple (not my suggestion) because she could pick the colour

I told her that if I wanted to match my computer to my curtains I would buy beige curtains.

(Actually I had to decide between silver and black and went with the black).

The new 301 lets you match the colour of your car

(If I am buying a second hand car the colour of of the paint)

I'm editing on my phone so can't change the last bit (I know I could look it up)

If I am buying a car the colour is the least of my worries.

I went with black for my hifi.

I look forward to quadrophonic sound when I get around to buying 4of the new 301's
