This is the record with completely new drum tracks: sounds completely different (and much better for me).

Best
That’s right. Wonder what happened before? Since I’ve never heard the first recording I cannot comment.
I think they decided to use only the electronic drum set because the room they used to record (in the house of Adrian Belew) was not big enough for the full set. Then when the plan for the remasters was ready they couldn't find those tracks anymore...

Meself and Mrs Derek were in Amsterdam many years ago, long before me arthritis started giving me hassle. We had been rambling through the city soaking up the laid back atmosphere and general ease of the place. After a few hours our collective feet decided to have a bit of a rest so we wandered into the nearest watering hole which was, The Hotel Prins Hendrik. We enjoyed a nice lunch and a few very nice winter beers. The place was very quiet and as you do I was swapping stories with the barman mainly dealing with Guinness v Heineken, and why Irish whiskey was the best on the planet. During our very friendly chat he asked was I a music fan because they get a lot a people that come to the hotel to pay their respects to Chet Baker. I hadn't been aware that, that was the hotel he was found dead at.
