MMMm the issue with that is you are running on complete trust on the level of wear/hours.

Koetsu blacks are famous indeed!

Anyway to answer the original question, I think I am going to leave it as is. It might be useful as a trade in against a new cart sometime.

In this case it's a retip and repair by the same man who designed the stylus 30+ years ago. Van Den Hul's entry level cart is about €1200 and good value at that. You are essentially getting a new very good "new" cart for €500.
Well, in that instance I would consider it, but expensive!
