Isolation pads.

Hi,
I have four isolation pads and l am not sure whether to put them under my amp,cd player or phonostage.Advice please.Cheers.

I'd generally try the components with moving parts first, but give it a go and see.

I have pads under my turntable. So you suggest the CD player?

Can you try before making a final decision or do they not work that way?

Using isolation under components over the years has often changed the sound but not always improved it, and sometimes I went back to placing the component directly on the rack. For example, I've often found a "cleaner" sound that didn't always translate to more enjoyment...

Instinctively I'd go toward a turntable or CD player but I have had clear improvements under amps too. Trial and error really.
Vinyl -anything else is data storage.
