Just thought I would share this John Creedon RTE Radio 1 show that was recorded in 2015 at the US Ambassador's residence in Dublin to honour John Prine. He comes across as a great storyteller in song and in interviews. Enjoy!

This is a beautiful Tiny Desk tribute to the man. My personal highlight is the touching rendition of Speed of the Sound of Loneliness by Courtney Marie Andrews.

Philip Donnelly (known as the Clontarf Cowboy) was a good friend of John Prine's and he played guitar on the original of Speed of the Sound of Loneliness - what a beautiful sound he got for the solo. Philip Donnelly died just last December. Anybody old enough will remember a local band called Elmer Fudd.

RTE had a programme called The Session... here is Philip Donnelly and John Prine playing with other well known Irish musicians. The video quality isn't great, probably copied from a videotape, but enjoyable nonetheless.
