A truly iconic performance from Rory and his merry wee band. I cannot believe the boards didn't catch fire! Imagine if it had have been performed at night? The whole island would have been burnt to the ground :)

Can't believe that as I'm typing this Rory Gallagher's Irish Tour '74 is beaming from TG4!

Yeah,Scott was a huge loss. I remember in my young teens listening to the transistor under the covers and it was the usual music you'd hear at the time until... the presenter played some Scott Walker. I'd never heard anything like this before.

In one track I was introduced to Scott Walker and Jacques Brel. A giant step.

Stunning stuff if you like Magazine/Pogues/A House/Billy Bragg/ Idles/Shame etc...
