Can't find Squeezbox app in addroid Play store

Hello,
I have a Samsung tablet (from a few years back) and I run the Squeezbox controller app (from Slimdevices/Logitech). I decided to load it onto my android phone but the application is not in the Google Play store any more (or at least I can't find it). [There is an third party app called Squeezer, which I can use, but I prefer the original].
Any suggestions as to where I can find an old copy ?

Hi James, there is the slimdevices forum.

As you're probably aware logitech dropped the squeezebox product range a few years ago.
The Lms software and players are now been maintained and updated through the community on the slimdevices forum. Luckily all the software is open source and still being maintained.

You may be able to find an old apk for the logitech android app but it will be out of date. I now use squeezer and it seems pretty good. Although I mostly use Spotify Connect these days through the spotty plugin.

Agree about Squeezer [which I have installed on my Samsung tablet] but I prefer the original Logitech app. Ideally I would like to install an old version on my phone. I don't use internet radio or Spotify so an old version would do. I will have a look for the slimdevices forum. Thanks.

You should be able to find the logitech app somewhere, which you can side load onto the tablet, but there may be compatibility issues with newer versions of android.

A lot of old apps are being removed from the play store due to security issues.

I use ORANGE SQUEEZE app on my Squeezebox (Raspberry RP3+PicoPlayer).
I find this app a lot better than the original one

Thanks for the info. But I would still like to install the original version since that is what I am used to. It looks like if I can find an old installation file I can install it so I will try that route. My only worry is that there may be some sort of virus is the file. Does anyone know of a safe source for such a file. Thanks.
