Nah....I prefer to think of them as I remember them from way back......

I'll say one thing Paul, David is definitely not for everyone! I have American Gothic on vinyl and Subway to the Country on CD.
When I heard AG first I couldn't latch on to what he was doing. Rock theatre? Monologue blues? Way out political cabaret? Still, at the time two songs stood out, namely: Loves Enough and the heartbreaking and fabulously cinematic Montana Song...Blues For Billy Whitecloud was good too.. BTW at the time I didn't have the lyric sheet (or the internet!) and lo and behold, many moons later I stumbled on the lyric insert lying forlornly in some run down second hand joint! It was the only item I wanted and, decent enough of the assistant, he let me have it foc :-) Made my day that and it was the original deal too...
