Wilson Benesh Vector Speakers
Wilson Benesh Vector Speakers
Hi All,
I recently saw and briefly heard the Wilson Benesh Vector speakers in The Listening Suite and found them to be quite good.
Have any of you heard them, tested/compared them?

Here is a review by Alan Sircom (Hi-Fi+ Magazine), raves about them but they need careful matching...

Re: Wilson Benesh Vector Speakers
I bought a pair of Quadral Chromium Style 8 loudspeakers in Cloney Audio a couple of months, the design is very similar to the Wilson Benesch.
They got a 5-star rating in Hi-Fi World. Absolutely love the sound of them! They use a ribbon tweeter and the treble sound is fantastic.
They don't come with the silver struts. They are a separate accessory not made by Quadral. Here is a link to the Hi-Fi World review.

I also went to listen to them 2 weeks ago. They are excellent quality for their price indeed. They have great bass however I found them a bit less detailed in the high and mid compared to my current speakers.Cyndale wrote:I bought a pair of Quadral Chromium Style 8 loudspeakers in Cloney Audio a couple of months, the design is very similar to the Wilson Benesch.

Re: Wilson Benesh Vector Speakers
You should at the very least arrange a home demo as those Chromium 8's are a rather special speaker and their true pedigree would reveal itself in a more relaxing environment such as your own room. Pass on these at your peril.
Also the new version of the Quadral Platinm 50's will be landing in Cloney's shortly. I'd say they might just give you the extra detail you crave. They were voted speaker of the year in 2013.
Finally your JMR speakers would be a difficult act to follow anyway as they have a unique soiund all their own. I know because I had a pair in my own room for a while (Cantabiles). So the question is : why are you thinking of replacing them?

I indeed love the level of details from the Abscisse but sometimes I'd like to get deeper bass especially for music styles such as Rock or Electronic

I'd be very surprised if the Platinum 50's don't tick all the boxes. Good luck and do let us know how you get on.....sdiesel77 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2017 1:02 amIndeed I'm waiting for a demo of these onescybot wrote: Also the new version of the Quadral Platinm 50's will be landing in Cloney's shortly.
