tony came down today and we got a good nudge on with the case work, we cut drilled and tapped most of the alminium fittings, we also drilled and tapped the case bottom panel, we can start assembling battery packs on them the next day

Have some better photos but need to save them at a lower resolution to upload. Slow work but Nigel seemed happy with the progress. Sliding mitre saw for cutting the alu was great. The days work ended up yielding a small pile of aluminium bits and lots of holes. Hopefully they will all fit ok when the time comes. We did try to be very careful.

Switch and vol pot mounting plate should be on the inside of the aluminium angle not the outside

Pretty much all the assembly is done on the boards bar a few transistors (that I seem to have misordered) and the 47uf cap for the turn off delay.

We also made a start on the transformer wiring - there's a bit of figuring out to be done there.
