Anybody know what the big silver(blue lights) component on the floor is in the pics on page 3 of the thread? Looks like a cd player with the drawer on top. Looks expensive.

Hi everyone,
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended the NI Audio Show 2010, Overall we believe the show went well and the support we got from our customers and those from Tir Na Hi Fi was excellent, we received great comments all weekend and we were very happy to finally meet Ivor and his crew.

As we were slightly busy we didn't get the chance to get too many photo's and were wondering if anyone from the site had pics from any of our rooms that they would allow us to use on our site (We would credit any photographers on our NI Audio Show report page).

Once again we appreciate your kind words both from word of mouth and on this thread! THANKS

they were there and they had a good selection of quality discs but the prices were a bit rich. £22 for a single, £44 for doubles. Not outrageous but when you can but similar quality (Speakers Corner etc) online or sometimes through Tower or Freebird I'd be inclined to walk away. I did buy

but as my TT isn't giving of its best at the moment I can't say how they sound. They do come with a digital download though... which is nice.

No boddur hi.

The thing with the Roksan is that I'm enjoying CD playback so much I'm not too bothered for now. I might have a look et it this evening.

It seems my TT is ok. A combination of laid back (even dullish) production on the two albums combined with a new lease of life for the CD player - it blows the TT out of the water- means I actually thought something was wrong. I guess this means I need a new TT!

Are the little black things not working their magic on the Roksan? I take it you've already explored that option and the answer is obviously NO......What beauties have you got in mind, of the turntable variety, I mean :-)

@ Modest, Fran,

Great to see the photos, thanks for taking the time and effort to post them up.

Unfortunately I was unable to make it up there but it is great to see it was a good success. Any idea how much that Airtight 300B unit was going for?

@ Ivor,

I have thought long and hard about why there is such reluctance by the native Irish population to change, adopt new ways of thinking, different ideas etc. I believe there would be many reasons, however the size of the average domestic Irish house might have something to do with it.

Most houses even built recently do not have enough space to swing a cat in, let alone a decent space for speakers to breathe in.

Ah well..
