Forum rules
Note that Tir Na HiFi does not take any responsibility for transactions arranged or carried out here. It is up to the seller and buyer to check each other out! Please be sensible folks, and if there is something you think is wrong, let a mod know, OK?
To make it as clear as we can, here are some simple guidelines:
a) like any forum, the success of tirnahifi is entirely dependent on discussion. All members are encouraged to participate in discussion of music, hifi, etc.
b) tirnahifi is not designed to be, nor intended to be, a marketplace. Any member who uses the site merely for selling will be looked on suspiciously.
c) those members who choose to sell on the site should be aware that the mods do keep an eye on the stuff for sale, plus the demeanour of the seller. Sometimes we may lock/delete/ban a sales thread on this basis.
d) honesty is paramount in all selling transactions. Commercial sellers who label themselves as such are accepted at the discretion of the moderating team.
e) All ads have to include information about age, price, provenance, etc.
f) THE MODERATING TEAM RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REMOVE ANY ADS AT THEIR DISCRETION.
g) Commercial sellers should approach any of the moderation team in advance of posting. First time commercial posts without moderator contact will be removed.

Valve Clear Out
I have some old tubes that I no longer have any use for. As far as I am aware they have never been used and are all in good nick. Don't want the hassle of selling them so if you have a few swaps for 6922 (6dj8) or 12au7 or equivalent that would be great. If not a donation to a suitable charity wouldn't go amiss. The valves I have are 6z4, 6sj7, 6u8a and 5687. Let me know if you use these in your equipment or diy. cheers.
Re: Valve Clear Out
I'd love that 5687 if you still have it - happy to pay, or I can have a root through what I have. Might have a few 12au7 but I'd need to check.
Do or do not, there is no try
Re: Valve Clear Out
Hi Fran
I have 4 x GE JAN 6587WA if you're interested. Look unused to me. If you have any 6dj8 or 12au7 or even a kt88/6550 that isn't in use that would be perfect. I'm not using these and I don't think the're that common (?) so probably won't use going forward so don't want to just leave them gathering dust.

Re: Valve Clear Out
Hi there, I would be very interested in 6u8a tubes for my Radford amp. I will need to look in my spares box, but think I have a pair of Sovtek ECC88.
Best wishes

Re: Valve Clear Out
Howdy,
Yes, I have a pair of sovtek 6550c..but curiously I have no 12au7, but a good few 12at7.
If they suit, sure let me know.
