I have Gold Lion KT 88s, matched quad, in the airtight. I'd be interested in a short term swap, say a few weeks, out of curiosity. Obviously if we like the swap we'll come to some arrangement. I'm planning a return to EL34s at some stage anyway.
Vinyl -anything else is data storage.

Thorens TD124 Mk1 + Kuzma Stogi 12"arm, HANA Red, Gold Note PH 10 + PSU. ADI-2 Dac, Lector CDP7, Wyred4Sound pre, Airtight ATM1s, Klipsch Heresy IV, Misc Mains, RCA + XLR ICs, Tellurium Q spkr cable

Perfect Ivor. I can pick up that wine stash at the same time;) if it’s still unopened.
I’ll pm you with the arrangements.

Hi Maciej You could try KT120's in the Graaf. See some have tried them. I got the ok from Jadis for my amp and I think I will give them a go at some point this year. Are you happy with the Graaf? It was second on my list when I was looking a few years ago.
I see it rates at 50W per channel that is fairly hefty compared to the Jadis which is only 30wpc

Hi Tony. Thanks for recommendation in relation to the tubes. I found Tung Sol and Psvane offer KT120 so I would think about it.
I am delighted with the Graaf, but think that I can squeeze little bit more from it, that’s why I would like to try other than Sovtek tubes. The Graaf offers 50W as much as my previous amp but somehow it is capable of creating bigger sound, digs deeper and builds larger soundstage.

Yes Tungsol are the ones I will go for. Not sure whether to risk the cyroset option from the states or play safe on tax and go for Hotrox/Watford valves or one of the European suppliers.

I got 8 Tung Sol KT120's delivered from Hot Rox yesterday. Won't be until Thursday before I get them set up so I'll report back then. Most people seem to recommend them over the KT88's. They are a 'hardier' valve too I believe.

Great service from Hot Rox, got a call from them within an hour after placing the order to ask me what tolerances I wanted for a matched Octet. Valves were well packed for shipping.

Is there none one in Europe selling cryo treated tubes?

I am not sure if it’s worth it to get them for 199 US + the shipment and the risk of adding few quid for tax as well. Cheapest I found locally will be 160 euro for quad, that is not too bad.
It will be great if Dave gave us some feedback as soon as he has the chance to compare the KT120 against his other tubes, please do this Dave if you can.

No doubt he will Maciej but all reports suggest the 120's are where it is at. Who is selling them at €160? Are they a reliable supplier?
