I must admit I was not aware if that website, doing my shopping exclusively on Amazon.
Those recordings seem to be available only on vinyl. I would like to experiment with that format for sure, but don't have the appetite for the investment of time or money to switch over. After my last bout of upgraditis and the crap I had to put up with before I got sorted, I promised myself 'never again'!!![/quote]

Yes, I love this and just in the last days had it out for a listen after forgetting about it for quite a while. can you point me in the direction of similar recordings??

It's a pretty unique record in many ways but in a similar mood, you could try:

Bill Frisell - The Sweetest Punch - arrangements of the Elvis Costello and Burt Bacharach record, Painted from memory
Bill Frisell - Big Sur - great slice of Americana
Pat Metheny - One Quiet Night - solo acoustic
John Scofield - Quiet
Marc Johnson - Swept Away

I have gotten hold of all except The Sweetest Punch so far. They are all in my current listening stack as I get to know them better.....my initial experience of all is very positive with the Metheney and Marc Jonson selections probably more immediately appealing.
