Do you have the Windows Instrumentation service running?
If not you need to turn it on or prevent it being shut down.
The 'kill' command requires Windows Instrumentation service running, in my experience.

It is one of the settings in AO.

v109 found a few more areas could use the same technique as v108, so even betterer

v110 sounds a bit sweeter than v109, which one is nearer the truth ?

anyway that's enough, shall try and get hirez working next.

Prefer v109 to v110 as it allows more microdetail to show.
The slight wobble of a hammer hitting the snare in a piano, the slight push when blowing a trumpet, etc.

V110 is too polished in that respect and sweetened too much ....

Glad it also works for you to turn Windows Instrumentation service back on.

It is good for other people to know as well, as it is a bit of a hidden requirement and can easily be switched off with AudiOptimizer (AO) without knowing what it is actually used for.

Cheers

hirez uses waveformatextensible to specify the music format instead of waveformatex, seems to make a difference in sq

v111 uses waveformatextensible for 16/44.1 (same code as v109), sounds more refined to me. Surprising.

Anyway just need to get the load part for hirez done now.
