Ludwig van Beethoven
Trio In D major (after Symphony No. 2)

Beaux Arts Trio

This is Beethoven's Second Symphony rewritten by the great man himself for the piano trio. This is just fantastic.
I have that one on vinyl Seán....

Exciting new recording using a 1734 instrument with a small ensemble.
Nicely balanced with superb dynamics and that fabulous harmonia mundi house sound.

I've just listened to the record once so far but I've found the performance really enjoyable - very lively.

OK, I have put it on the List, Mark, but I see that the CD is not actually due for release until next week.

Powerful stuff - and great sounding live recording. First listen.

Also, will have to try those saxophone concertos.
