uploaded haswell v29 play with the hard coded device name as probably still sounds best. So back to the hex editor for those that want to use that version.

use it with the v19 control/loader.

do find the bass to be superior on the ldn version, think that's a good sign as it's one of the hardest things to get from a digital setup in comparison to vinyl, IHO.

uploaded v30 haswell play, just another way of handling the device name, uses the device name in mqnparameter.txt.

think v30 might have something, better bass than 29 and better detail than ldn.

thanks for feedback on v30, can apply the same technique to other variables which might improve things further.

Thank you for sse version available again.
I just want to inform you that mqnloader.exe sse4 v20 and mqnplay.exe sse4 w 2012 r2 v29 are identified by avast web protection module (last definition) as infected. I suspect a false positive. However I temporary disabled the protection module and downloaded.

I use win 10 defender and it doesn't pick anything up. Probably because loader and play are writing to memory set up by control.

If any interest:
I use F-Secure Internet Security on my Internet PC. I downloaded these two files and run a F-Secure scan. Nothing harmful was detected.

I have a streamlined 8.1 dedicated audiopc and another 3 units for different dedicated uses (one for internet).
I think it's obvious you can't run a dedicated audiopc with antivirus, firewall, tons of useless services and so on.
