My first visit to the symphonic world of Scriabin. On first listen I thoroughly enjoyed Symphony No. 1 with its very fine choral ending.

I think it's a great set. Scriabin's music is delightful and the PO under Muti's direction certainly do it justice. It has fared well on BAL too.fergus wrote:

Britten: Cello Suites Nos. 1-3....
This is completely new music to me. I found it to be wonderful and intriguing. There are some searchingly dark moments in this beautiful music. I do not know of the crllist [Rohan de Saram] but the music is well played [and recorded].

What a really tremendous work this opera is and it is given a wonderful performance here. I really liked the performances of the vocalists.
