
The highlight of this CD for me is, without doubt, the very powerful performance of Bloch’s Schelomo.
Yes it was very pleasant Simon. Huggett and her chamber ensemble [seven instrumentalists in total] gave a delightful recital of 17th century Baroque repertoire. The Beethoven violin concerto above was also very good. Her interpretation and playing led to it having a slightly different "feel" to it which was interesting and I was particularly impressed with what Mackerras and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment brought to proceedings.Diapason wrote:Sounds like a perfect evening!
