thats about it any more were at great risk of dead dac
putting this build more or less on hold till there's better filters or there bypassed
There are new filters to try. Sounds like they can still be tweaked, but its a start.

actually worth boxing up as is
lots of hassle with serial connection
but i didnt know what i was doing so.....
Guess you liked nos. I was going to try to get the serial working this weekend but was too lazy.
Sorry I haven't really done anything yet, it will happen one of these days.

Instead I used dBPoweramp to upsample to 24/256 and I thought the thing sounded pretty good. Nothing to compare to but my turntable set-up which is no slouch.
Having to use Jplay since I cannot get MQn to work with my NTLite Win 10 (2.5bG c:folder). Will try the new beta tonight but wonder if it is going to need some of the junk I left out.
Very different from records which is something I like. Change can be good.
Have not listened long enough to hear the bad stuff - it will come out just as it does with anything. At this point I have analogue fatigue.
Will get the firmware in tonight along with the the filters.
Paul has also produced a 256 filter which should make for an interesting comparison.
Just using transformers, no batteries at this point (other than for isolation chips). Will get a feel for what this set-up sounds like and make the transition to battery this weekend.
So nige2000 - have you reconsidered using the alternate power input? One wonders if those PCB traces are a little too skimpy. Thinking about removing that rectifier but not sure of the configuration. With only four pads I figure it must be dual - full wave (not a bridge). Do you concur?
Didn't think anyone did rectifiers like that anymore but now that I bother to think about it if it was full wave there would be a need for a center tap input. (duh...)
Yes, that rectifier will be coming off this weekend.
