Think I found a project for the winter......http://www.ap-linux.com/documentation/i ... ions-v3-0/
I have no clue about Linux but this may get me interested and at first read looks like it might be doable for a complete newbie.
Anyone here tried this yet on Intel based hardware??
Might be fit for the "Rakija" after it but better than staring out at the miserable weather.

Re: Audiophile Linux
what interested me was the idea of optimising alsa in the kernel and integrating the player into the device driver so the driver reads directly from ram, otherwise not sure of the benefits as some of the things MQn uses are windows specific and not available to linux.Sligolad wrote:Think I found a project for the winter......http://www.ap-linux.com/documentation/i ... ions-v3-0/

Don't know anything about Linux either, but "Rakija"......oh yeaah! Actually that is how you got my attention! :))
That looks like a couple years old "sljivovica", aged in some old oak barrel.

Re: Audiophile Linux
I tried that a long time back, it worked fine, was a nice enough interface but sounded nowhere near as nice as my then OS optimised W8 laptop running jplay.....
Do or do not, there is no try
