I listened to it again, and indeed I must now say it is quite good.
Must have been too tired yesterday.

Tried v93 Normal & 0005. Both are very good.
After a while though I found 0005 just a little too harsh which probably goes with the extra detail and v93 Normal was my preferred choice.

Still getting one or two tracks cutting out part way through. Any other XMOS/WaveIO users getting that? Might be a Thesycon driver incompatability?

I'm using Thesycon as well and no problems.
I have no WaveIO but also use the same full package from Thesycon (v 2.23) like the WaveIO uses.

7.42 freezed the OS when music finished.

7.43 made good sound. screen went black, and the party didn't stop. when music stopped, screen was restored to norm.

(i has always turned off bsod checking. maybe why it makes sound)

7.45 441 is the old "underwater" sound again.

is it just a matter of deleting pa from folder and using the new mqnplay?

you can leave it there if you want to compare pa versions, it's not used now.
