Legendary Vintage KLH Model 6 speakers SOLD

Post by Vorious »

I have a pair of the aforementioned speakers that I bought to tinker around with. I subsequently bought a new pair of speakers for my main system, so space & cashflow are now more important! ;)

The cabinets are in pretty good condition considering the age of the speakers, as are the grills. The capacitors in the crossover have dried with age un-fortunately & will need replacing (easy job & the parts are around a fiver!).

Looking for around 100, with the caps changed they would easily fetch over double that.

Open to p/x as always (something physically smaller so I can hide it from SWMBO though, ha)

Haha, yeah thought that was a good one when I saw it alright Charlie.

The KLH's are currently occupying space that a new dining set is due to be in imminently, so time to go.

Fran the cabinets are in pretty good nick, not mint but definitely not what I'd call 'tatty'. Considering the age (lot older than myself!), they're in very good condition (a lot better than myself! :)). I haven't actually laid eyes on the drivers because the grills aren't easily removable. They can of course be taken off with persuasion and some application to get at the drivers & remove them to access the caps. I'm sure that there are no foam surrounds to worry about rot issues (KEF Reference 105/3 anyone!!).

I'f you're seriously interested, make me a brave offer for a quick sale!:) If you're not happy with them when you see them, no obligation to buy, worst that can happen is you we have a coffee & a good natter about hifi!

Cheers,

Greg

PS, I'm not too lazy to take & post pics, the camera on my phone is broken for months but I'm hanging on for an up-grade, haven't got the time or inclination to get this one fixed.

Right so.

I'll offer €70 assuming the drivers are ok. If rubber surrounds are gone but available on eBay etc that's ok too. Would probably have the caps etc.

Could collect over the weekend..
