Definitely MQn is nearly ready for PFM mayhem if we have got to that stage. Have you measured this Nigel or is it just a subjective view?
We need measurements of chocolate bar ruffles compared to humans. Also I take if for granted it was ABX Double blind tasting?

You should pop over to PFM to see the JK muse with the lads about cognitive bias's it is stuff of legend. I can't post as it is all far too intelligent and intense for me. The goings on here are more understandable

id consider talking about this sort of stuff on pfm a waste of time,
not sure all aspects is measurable yet,
im hardly going to buy gear to tell me if i like the sound and if it sounds/feels like an accurate reproduction

still think a 448 version will sound and flow better, even if it makes the cpu do more

I'm listening to 2.73 448 again, to get back a sense of the old sound quality.

10 ms with 100000 control.

No, nothing is ready for exposure on PFM - still JULF, Mescalito & a couple of others banging on although Max has shown a new side to his online persona - it seems he is listening & trying to learn - I wonder what brought that on?

i have a few test tracks that have bits that is particularly difficult to sound accurate
the fast piano of oscar peterson my one and only love,
the subtle double bass notes and his murmurs of oscar peterson you look good to me
transients frequencies of many of james taylors tracks
van morrison has some too, these can sound flat/uninteresting when mqn is not on form
i find live performances interesting too as when mqn is good you get a real sense of atmosphere, a cough, something dropped and everything has its place in the sound stage including flaws makes it sound more real
i think it was more like murmurs of a crowd i was referring to earlier as whisper, not that i can tell what they were saying
but enough of a difference to know it sound more like voices than rustling
very difficult to describe as sometimes it just feels right were all sounds have their place and flow freely
probably was either jackson browne running on empty or dire straits romeo and juliet (alchemy)

not trying to piss anyone off, just that mqn was great with free flowing micro detail and now other aspects are good/better but most of the magic of reality is gone

I held the fort and got abused while you dossed in New York so my time is done. Unless Tonyl reacts to the poll and sets up CA section that
is moderated as per diy the current self appointed moderators will destroy the audio room. Leave em to it life is too short I think Fran said something before and he is so correct about admiring their staying power. I just couldn't be bothered keeping up that level of misery for a long period. Don't worry Max is acclimatizing himself to new baby avi speakers and probably struggling so the mind has to open a little.
Such angry and bitterness there is strange compared to the interactions with people here. Disagreements/differences of opinion are somehow
worked out without rancor.

Yea, I noticed that was just mentioned - MAX's cognitive dissonance in being able to evaluate, comment on & choose his new speakers sighted while demanding DBTs of others to prove their statements. No doubt he'll come back with the IMO get-out clause.
Ah, I also was posting during the Engaland match & reported on the score Subjectivists 2 Objectivists 1 :)
