Don't know anything about the nexus but looks like the iPad's press and hold is not equivalent to right-click or control-click.
The save image on the iPad saves the image and not the URL so there is no link to copy in the forum.
Works for me because I do the copying and pasting in safari on the PB or MacPro.

Press and hold on iOS devices works differently depending on the website structure....

If the image is stored in a location on the websites server, press and hold has extra options such as "open in new tab/ window"

otherwise if the image is embedded in the page the options are limited - here's where you get the save image option

Very few web pages use the older ethos which allows you to link to the image, rather than the page the image is on anymore!

it's why I love the new upload feature, as I exclusively access the forum via iOS!

Thanks for that Johnny. As I said previously a long time ago posting images on my iPad was a synch until I updated the software and ppppppffffttt......it was no longer possible :(
