Nice haul there Mick. You are right about the Autobahn vinyl it does sound superb but I was disappointed with The Man Machine as I was expecting it to sound better than my second gen. original copy what with the remastering and all....BTW of all the Kraftwerk remasters, I've been impressed with Technopop (Electric Cafe) and Trans Europe Express.I would also recommend the 12" of Expo 2000 which has the best sonics of any Kraftwerk piece I've ever heard! Who does the remixing on the Harmonia/Brian Eno labum?mick wrote:

Bought these in a local Game shop which also sells second hand cds today, they were doing a 3 for 2 deal at €3.99 each!
I know very little about Jimi, and figured this might be a good introduction with one studio cd and one live one.
I used to be a fan of the Purps as a teenager and this has many of my favourites on it, with a bit of luck it will be a case of deja vu all over again. :-)
Too embarrassed to identify the third disc!!!!!

Wow! you did well...Let us know how you get on with Jimi anyway.I remember giving it to one of my students as a little birthday present - I had only found out five minutes before. It killed me :)JAW wrote:Bought these in a local Game shop which also sells second hand cds today, they were doing a 3 for 2 deal at €3.99 each!

Damn! Could never refuse a dare!!!!!
We all know that "Hips Don't Lie" has a great pop hook, and that the future President of Haiti sings on the album and that it's good to listen to all types of music. It had nothing, (or very little!) to do with the sleeve, ok? :-))
