just one more "kindly" advice.

if you don't fix little things that create jitters, all these tweaks like "realtime", timerresolution=0.5ms have zero to negative effect.

these are improvement tweaks. they don't fix jitters.

most people don't care about little things. and complains sound is harsh/bright/noisy. maybe they deserve it ?!?!

Thanks for putting the X-Sound card on my radar: what was I doing in 2013 to have missed it?!

However, it seems like an awfully long-winded way to skin a cat . . . try one of these with added screening and a good linear:
