I'm really struggling to remember some of the names. Whatever happened to Briano?

I've actually just noticed that there's a pair of GRAAF monos in one of the pics. I wonder are they the exact ones that I know own? It wouldn't surprise me.

I should also say I have pretty much zero recollection of that night!

Actually that was the old original cloney forum when it was wound up about about 7 years ago but many of the posts there date back to over 10 years ago, around 2003.
First proper hifi forum in Ireland I'd say, where people had somewhere to share thoughts and ideas for the first time online.

Yeah, Briano is in the photos, as is ttcomet (was his real name Dave? I think it might have been.)

I can't believe it goes back all the way to 2003. Funny that my first post there was about buying a TT...

I think one of the guys in the photos was called Neil. Is he still around?

The only Neil I knew back then was the guy who had Nordost Odin in his system. darTZeel amps too if I remember correctly.

Here's a great thread from our very own Ciaran, detailing a fantastic upgrade experience:

Yep, me too.

I'm also looking at some of my own posts and thinking that some things never change, I'm an idiot now, I was an idiot then. After my recent description of upgraditis and the associated complaints, I found this from 2006:

"One of the problems I had with previous upgrades was that I found myself listening to more and more "hifi" stuff -- female vocalists, clean acoustic guitar, only the best recordings. I had vowed that any upgrade from now on should mean I listen to *more* music, not less."

I never learn, apparently.
