listen a bit more....

2.84 stage > 2.85. hehe

lekt, you gonna have a hard time beating 2.84.

2.84 is a new standard. all things balance. sound raises up better than 2.85. also extremely stable in all situations. when vibration is highly concentrated, it breezes through at ease. on the other hand, 2.85 struggles a little bit.

v2.84 have best balance, one full night for adjustment its balance. code has correct done, but why balance not good, so then made much combination of exchange variables, statement realocation... there's testing skill, not programing skill.
now can improve many things of v2.84, but balance?? hehe...

difficult...hehe...

i think all players have some compromises. i see xa+7 has best vocal. but piano depth not enough. drum not enough power. i guess that's compromise.

2.84 have so much vibration. can reduce it?! so, it can be brighter little bit. more energy?
need to find something to compromise.

i am starting to understand why some CD players are so so so so expensive $$$$$$.
perfect balance is art. very difficult to achieve. testing skills > technical skills.

my dad's speakers he bought 20 years ago, now price = x10. must be because testing skills > technical skills.

2.84 has some pops on dedicated audio PC, no other apps, lekt -> RME HDSPe driver only on R2 (USB stick).
Does multi-threading use interrupts?
How does threads get distributed amongst cores?
(Hyper threading is disabled - i5 2500T -4 cores)

drivers access interrupts. nothing to do with software player

the pops is so random. sometimes you have it. sometimes i have it... hehe

just fixed another stupid tweak of mind. i should leave printing things along. now SQ has boosted more. 2.84 sounds almost perfect.

i love this 2.84. emotion improves with correct tweaks. (same as xa)
am having 200-400 TCP connections. 2.84 just powers through. texture kept. stage kept. air kept. all things kept to a decent level.
2.84 is by far the best sound on my R2.

lekt's code didn't touch anything of system resource, OS manages it by himself. didn't made any special setting in code, used default parameters of thread's functions.
goon-heaven, i will resolve problem with pops, still now use no-control method, sometime OS beat one or more threads, slower than needed, and pops... later will use kernel control of events object and maybe no pops, hehe...
not easy with synchronize if we want keep SQ.

thx lekt

2.85.1 is tighter. strong pressure. too strong?
2.85.2 is looser. need tighter only little bit? not sure.

like 2.85.2. music > 2.84.
2.85.1 has flat stage?

2.84 has perfect stage in my setup. sound rises up perfectly. almost unreal. little dirty in some micro. resolution is suffocating!
2.85x > 2.84 in energy/emotion.

yes 2.85.2 wins!

v2.84 bass have hifi potential. found out little bug in code, but in loop, dangerious. that's made sound blur, shadow.
optimized its code, only this little bug, kept all its original code.

uploaded lekt.exe v2.86 1024

sound much better, bass is real, good focus. now sound more clean and clarity.
try it and enjoy!
