This is from Goldmund and it's from 2008. Just the bare bones of melody on a rickety sounding piano.

Now THAT'S more like it :) John Cage has a lot to answer for! Thanks for that John. Your continuous quest for the unknown gem never ceases to amaze (and inspire) me. Thank you!

Currently listening on music cassette

Celer & Hakobune.....vain shapes and intricate parapets....very mellow indeed, nice and subtle...especially with a whiskey in hand.

The Future Sound of London............. Accelerator.

Image

Released 1991, 62 minutes, Genre Techno, Acid House, ambient,
Re-released in 1992, 1996 & 2001 with various remixes.

The debut album of FSOL comprising Garry Cobain and Brian Dougan who met each other whilst studying electronics in Manchester University in the mid 80's. It contained the single "Papua New Guinea" (#22 UK singles chart 1991) which was a major success in the clubs of the time. This album was noted for being more club orientated than their later albums which are more ambient, "Accelerator" reached position #75 in the UK Album charts in 1991.

Virgin Records were looking sign up more electronica groups, after "Accelerator" FSOL were signed up, advance payments made and FSOL then worked on a new album "Tales of Ephidrina" which was released under the alias "Amphorus Androgynous".

Shortly after... "Lifeforms" was released in 1994 to critical acclaim.

During this timeFSOL also worked with Performance Radio... producing 3 hour shows which were broadcast from their studio to Manchester's Kiss FM.
