The ignore option is fine but if you visit and do not log on the posts are visible.
Maybe it is time for Tirnahifi to review how it handles issues. It has always been easy on this site as we never suffered from trolling.
Would suggest a person banned from other sites for trolling should suffer the same fate here.

His posting could be interpreted as a claim - which is why I asked for clarification.
if you keep trolling by misinterpreting statements by people, you can be banned. be careful
That sounds a bit like "watch out in dark alleys". What next? Will I wake up with severed horse head next to me?

I think any banning decisions are up to the moderators, not a lynching mob that wants to ostracice anyone who doesn't subscribe to their faith.
How is it possible for someone who nobody likes to infiltrate in this (and every) forum, destroying it slowly and the moderator still can't find a reason to get rid of this parasite!!! I believe that we are not 99%, but 100% agreeing on this.
In the good old days and with the "Common Sense Law", people were judging by the OBVIOUS, not by some undefined line waiting to be crossed!

Let's vote. If there is anybody else who thinks that Julf should stay in this forum, then let him stay..........soon it will be only him......alone!

I vote for "OUT"...................honestly, I like Julf's idea of "dark alleys" and the "horse head" more, but I guess that I can't push too hard without "crossing the line"! ;-)

And how we can do that when MASTER moved to another Julfless site! We are just trying here to provide the same "working conditions" as the CA!

Well, I just tried PA v20 and Gordon is right - it does bring something extra. A sense of rightness and musicality. If I didn't have dad-taxi duties looking I'd still be picking tunes now.

I also tried 25/20 on my setup, but to my ears there are some aspects seriously wrong, but I cannot yet put my finger on it.

The sound is quite forward, but also with quite some detail and musical transparancy. The low bass was quite booming however without control. It literally gave me a headache after a few minutes of listening. The MQn 2.71 still has quite an edge over JLP on my setup.

Overall I feel it has not been an improvement, on certain aspects definately but the bass issue makes it unlistenable for me.

Cheers

I seem to have missed the recent "fun".

Ivor, moderating is a pain in the butt....but trying to ignore Julf is a cop out. Either ban all other participants in the thread or ban Julf. I'm all for an easy and pleasant life but a very few people enjoy exploiting others. It's time to call time. Maybe the time has already past.

Dunno I tried V26 which seems to now incorporate Portaudio. Not sure if you delete the portaudio file from the bin folder?
Still think MQn has a more dynamic sound. Maybe I am setting this up wrong as others seem to suggest it is now surpassing MQn.
The JLP player to me still sounds just a little flatter. Maybe I am just bias towards MQn

So based on the constant seemingly inocuous asking of baiting questions, the complete lack of anything productive and the general disruptive nature of Julfs posts, I have banned him.

*******************************************

I cannot believe that people took offence at the "humourous" shotgun pic some pages back. Grow up lads, it was funny. Anyone who equates that pic with promoting violence in society needs to review their world view. Really?

*******************************************

I realise that many of you have long history in other fora with Julf (and others). It seems to me as a neutral-ish observer that more than just him needs to grow up a bit. Throwing all the toys out of the pram just because you didn't get your own way is not the way adults behave. The reason I didn't ban more here was that they have contributed more over time in a constructive way.

*******************************************

Lets keep it all positive! We all care about computer audio - and we all enjoy and are grateful for the obvious contribution sgbk has made to our hobby, but also the very valuable contributions that many many others have made - on PC builds, on testing, power supplies, and with encouragement. This is the internet and collaboration at its best.
