-a 1 -b 2000:2000

in the additional options, seems to work -a is latency in ms and -b is streaming and output buffer in kb, adds to the SQ anyway
There are latency and buffer setting options as well to try for pa/squeezelite from the options setting box
I was able to set everything up, except this. I couldn't find options you're pointing out for. Could you be little more specific, please, or I am missing something on my installation?
I am running your version 4, just to let you know.

on the advanced tab in the settings screen you can select local player in the drop down and beneath the box for selecting the output device there is a box for additional options, just copy/paste into that box and save to restart squeezelite. With the 1 setting, I can see why people say that the lowest latency sounds best, brought out a level of detail I'd not heard before and the memory settings seemed to give more solidity to the sound.

version 4 uses identical build settings to MQn, so it's some sort of validation that I got it right with MQn

Yes. But KS was working once just once, I don't know why.
Do I need to restart server after any settings change?

sounds like that's the next option, maybe your dac is sensitive to ks stopping, restarting lms server might clear it else restart the dac and computer as well

I have to wait until I get home after work to give it try. But, before that I need to help sima66 to get him going on this. He wasn't sleeping last night at all...LOL.
BTW, how do you like my signature?

I like it, but not sure how it fits in with the GPUv3 licence terms for portaudio and you're using squeezelite so a tricky one.

settings is web browser based so in control panel go to advanced and click on advanced settings it will open up in your web browser

at the bottom of the plugins page theres an option to show all 3rd party plugins select that

then triodes local plugin will show up

then go to advanced still in web browser select output (Dac KS)

then below that there is the additional options
where you place the buffer settings sbgk posted earlier

always hit apply

these things slowed me down a bit hope this helps others

my desktop isnt a benchmark but it doent suck
