Sean, is the sound quality on the Rubenstein recordings very much in the historical category? I know it's bad form, but I can't cope with that. I'm truly the worst kind of audiophile!
I have the 11 cd box set below. The analog tapes were digitally remastered and are very fine indeed. The majority of the recordings are from the sixties, that said a couple of the cds were recorded in the 1947-1948. To my mind, it is a wonderful, wonderful set, I wouldn't be without it
