I thought I’d never say this, but I'm putting my Cary CAD500MB monoblock power amplifiers up for sale. When I purchased these, I saw them as ‘amps for life’, but I don’t have the space now to use them. They are solid state design, but being from the Cary stable, they are designed to sound tube like and they do. However, they are not overly warm sounding, they are very detailed with great control and dynamics, and a soundstage to jump into. At 1 x 500w into 8ohm and 1 x 1000w into 4ohm they excel with difficult to drive speakers, there is no harshness as the volume is turned up to window rattling levels, they just seem to come more on song. These are exceptional amplifiers.
This pair is in immaculate condition, with silver fronts. They come with the original double boxes. They are EU voltage. They have 2 pairs of WBT connectors each side for easy bi-wiring, switching between RCA/XLR and are fully balanced. They weigh in at 45lbs each so you have the added bonus of perfecting your weight lifting. I will post photos at the weekend, but here is some information to say more about them:

You are very welcome to audition them in your set up if you can collect them from Cork – I can drop them off to you if you are local. I will consider a part exchange for a high end turntable and/or quality phono stage and I’m also looking for a good USB/SPDIF 192 converter, so let me know.

f) THE MODERATING TEAM RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REMOVE ANY ADS AT THEIR DISCRETION.
g) Commercial sellers should approach any of the moderation team in advance of posting. First time commercial posts without moderator contact will be removed.
