And (I presume you know (or own this)) the Arthur Rubinstein: The Complete Album Collection (144 cd) is also being sold at a very low price atm.
$ 122!!!! I am not sure why this set suddenly is so affordable??? Anyways, if one does not have any Rubinstein (or even if one does) it is a no-brainer, don't you think?

I have Rubenstein's Chopin cycle and, to my ear, it is beyond compare. I love it. I don't have that Rubenstein box set

That said, if I do decide to buy aniother large piano box set I would select the Perahia over all others, I love his music-making.

I want to get the Marcelle Meyer set too, there is so little time and so much music:

Yes, that is a sublime set. I especially enjoy her Rameau, Bach and Scarlatti. So many gems in that set. Definitely a desert island box!!!!
You HAVE to get that Meyer collection!

Thanks Peter, that is lovely playing. Mark Ainley on Facebook has urged me to get the set too, I must do so.

Possibly not a 'bargain' as such, but I just wanted to draw attention (particularly Fergus') to the release of the complete set of Gesualdo's Madrigals by Marco Longhini on Naxos... highly regarded 7CD set for £20, which will also get some serious future consideration at chez Butcher:

well, it's certainly eclectic! it's also excellent value! Ideal for someone who has very few of his performances, but I suspect most of us here have quite a number from this set, anyway...
