The Davies Haydn set (complete symphonies - 37 cds) is for sale at Amazon.com for just $28. Digital and live performance. Not my top listing for Haydn (I like Fischer and Dorati), but a great deal to get some fine performances and to listen in to these works.

Thanks for that Peter, the first two resellers do not sell to Ireland. I will revisit later when I have more time.

I do like the Dorati set, I have a small sample of Fischer's recordings and have never felt the urge to acquire any more of them, they are not for me.

I DO like Fischer. I think it is a rough timbre in the performances that makes me like them. It is probably time to revisit them!!
The Davies set is definitely the one I listen the least to. Btw there is a lot of applause embedded in the Davies set.... Beware!
